June 26, 2020 In Latin America in the last 24 hours the infected have reached 2,279,146 (+58,789) and the confirmed deaths are 104,785 (+1,800). This is what emerges from a statistical elaboration carried out by the Ansa on the basis of the official data of 34 Latin American nations and territories. 

The Brazilit has had 1,141 new deaths and 39,483 new infections for coronavirus in the last 24 hours: this is what appears from the latest update of the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass). According to the new data, the South American country has therefore recorded 54,971 deaths and 1,228,114 confirmed cases of Covid-19 so far. The state of Sao Paulo reached 248,587 cases of contagion from Covid-19, exceeding 239,706 in Italy, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. In the last 24 hours alone there have been 9,765 new cases and 407 deaths, bringing the total number of victims to 13,759.

The Mexico has surpassed the 200,000 confirmed cases and 25,000 deaths from Covid-19, after reporting 6,104 new infections and 736 deaths in the last day. Since the start of the pandemic, Mexico has accumulated 202,951 cases and 25,060 deaths; and in three weeks both the infections and the deaths have doubled. Currently, Mexico ranks eleventh in the world with the highest number of Covid-19 cases and is the seventh country with the most deaths since the start of the pandemic. Since June 1, in Mexico the activities are carried out on the basis of an epidemiological traffic light that determines those allowed and those still prohibited. The traffic light has four colors: red for maximum risk (in force in 17 states), orange for high risk (in force in 15 entities), yellow for medium risk and green for low risk. 

Cooperation between Emirates and Israel

This was announced by the official UAE agency, Wam. "In the context of the Covid-19 pandemic and due to the need to strengthen international cooperation and pursue research commitments, two private companies in the Emirates have signed an agreement with two companies in Israel to develop research and technology," he said. WAM was announced shortly after the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, announced cooperation between the two countries.
