They will soon see each other in Russia. since Emmanuel Macron has accepted an invitation from Vladimir Putin to visit Russia soon, probably before the end of the year, announced the French presidency. The Elysee Palace said that the trip will have no memory dimension, while Russia has just celebrated the 75th anniversary of the victory over the Nazis.
This invitation was made by Vladimir Putin on the occasion of a tête-à-tête in videoconference, "a deep and substantial exchange" which "made it possible to take stock of the dialogue of confidence and security initiated" during the Russian president's visit to the Fort de Brégançon on August 19, 2019, shortly before the G7 summit in Biarritz. The French presidency then insisted on "the quality of the bilateral relationship".
