• Fraud and forgery, twelve managers of Sicily motorways suspended

June 26, 2020 Corruption, auction disturbance, ideological falsehoods, scam. Accused of these crimes, two officials of the Sicilian Motorways Consortium and a Milanese businessman were targeted for precautionary measures. They are respectively Angelo Puccia, engineer and municipal councilor of Castelbuono, 60 years old, under house arrest; Alfonso Edoardo Schepisi, engineer, 68 years old, suspended from public offices; Fabrizio Notari, 62 years old, legal representative of "Notari Luigi Spa, who was forbidden to participate in new tenders. Five other entrepreneurs are investigated in an investigation coordinated by the Public Prosecutor of Messina, led by Maurizio De Lucia, and conducted by the Dia Peloritana. The award of contracts relating to the Messina-Palermo and Messina-Catania motorways and related works on a road axis "already dramatically and notoriously afflicted by serious structural deficiencies" has ended in the sights of the magistrates.
