At 22.35, the rescue service received a car fire alarm at Ålidhem in Umeå. A car was in flames and an adjacent car suffered heat damage. Police suspect crime is behind.
"Yes, we do not see any natural reason why it should have started, and a preliminary investigation of damage caused by fire has been initiated," says on-going investigator, Peter Lindgren.
The police have some witnesses to the incident but are looking for more who can know something.
- There are witnesses, but if there are others who have made observations in connection with the fact that it started burning, they are happy to call 11414, urges Lindgren.
