The Associated Press quoted Rhode Island coroner as saying on the 24th that Sergey died of a gunshot wound on the head on the 18th.

Rhode Island police received an alarm call from Sergey's wife early in the morning on the 18th and went to their home in Cranston. Sergey was dead when the police arrived at the scene.
