- Interview.Manuel Segura: "I have not been ready at my weddings"
The businessman Manolo Segura died a few hours ago at the age of 77 after a few years of fighting cancer, at the San Francisco de Asís hospital in Madrid, according to the OK Diario portal.
A native of Santander , the advertising businessman was known in the world of the heart for being the biological father of Borja Thyssen, 40 years old. Segura and Carmen Cervera met in 1978 in Marbella, being he an attractive bachelor already known in the Madrid night. At the time, Tita was separated from her second husband, Spartacus Santoni, although she did not have a divorce (her first marriage was to Lex Barker).
They maintained a relationship with ups and downs for months and at the end of 79, Carmen, who had won the Miss Spain pageant in 1961, became pregnant . However, that pregnant woman, instead of uniting the couple, ended up breaking it. Borja was born in the summer of 1980, when the couple was already separated.
Segura did not form part of the child's family structure until many years later, Borja having already been adopted by Baron Thyssen, whom Carmen married in 1985.
However, in recent years the relationship between father and son has been very close, even Segura would have mediated the economic conflicts between Borja and his mother, Tita. Carmen and Manolo, in addition, have maintained a good friendship in recent times and it was even common to see them vacationing together and enjoying a yacht in Ibiza waters, along with the rest of the Baroness's family.
