The meeting between the opposition and the representatives of the UN Mission in Mali (Minusma), the European Union and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) took place in a constructive spirit for Nouhoum Sarr, president of the African Front for Development (ADF) party and member of the coalition of the Movement of June 5 : “ We discussed above all their proposals for ending the crisis which we had rejected in due time, because that we didn't understand the process. You know, Mali is a country of dialogue. We are a people of dialogue, but it will be a question of laying the real foundations. "
Two solutions
The Economic Community of West African States essentially proposed two solutions to get out of the crisis: the organization of by-elections in localities where the ballot was highly contested and the establishment of a government of national unity . For now, opponents want more, starting with the resignation of Malian President Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta. But to see it closely, this requirement is a basis for negotiation and could therefore evolve. Opponents want above all a clear framework of discussions to make " not reforms, but real reforms " in the country. Efforts to end the crisis will continue on Thursday.
In addition to the political chapels, religious, former high officials and members of civil society are consulted in order to contribute to appeasement.
