The excavation operations to try to find the body of Estelle Mouzin ended Thursday evening in the Ardennes, after four days of unsuccessful searches in two former properties of the serial killer Michel Fourniret, gendarmes told AFP.
"All the planned checks have been made" but nothing has been discovered, they said. "L'Ogre des Ardennes" had confessed in March to the murder of the 9-year-old girl, kidnapped in January 2003 in Guermantes (Seine-et-Marne), declaring to justice "relevant" that her body, which never been found, may be in one of its former properties in the Ardennes.
