"The frigate Admiral Makarov of the Black Sea Fleet (Black Sea Fleet) has begun passing the Black Sea straits of the Bosphorus and Dardanelles in the direction of the Mediterranean Sea," RIA Novosti reports.
The Black Sea Fleet added that the ship will be part of the permanent forces of the Navy.
According to the press service, for the crew of Admiral Makarov this is the second transition from the Black Sea to the Mediterranean in 2020.
In May, the frigates Admiral Essen and Admiral Makarov carried out artillery fire on coastal targets at a training ground in Crimea.
