"Intensive precipitation during June 22-23 led to a complication of the flood situation in Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Lviv and Transcarpathian regions," the State Emergency Situations Service of Ukraine said in a statement.

As of June 24, 187 settlements were flooded: 161 in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, 15 in Chernivtsi and 8 in Lviv.

On the eve it was reported that the Chernivtsi and Ivano-Frankivsk regions in western Ukraine fell into the flood zone due to heavy rains, three people were killed.
