It is clarified that at the moment in the EU are discussing two possible lists of states whose citizens will be able to enter the territory of the union. The lists were compiled based on the coronavirus situation in the respective countries.
According to media reports, the list was compiled on the basis of a “combination of epidemiological criteria”, and the main one was the average number of new infections in 14 days per 100 thousand people. EU officials insist that countries with an indicator of 16 should be allowed to enter.
In Russia, at the moment, according to the publication’s own calculations, 80 cases, in the USA - 107, and in Brazil - 190.
The EU also intends to review these lists every two weeks to reflect the changes taking place in the world.
Earlier, the European Commission recommended the EU countries to begin the gradual partial opening of external borders for citizens of other states from July 1.
