A lawyer, candidate for municipal in Marseille in the colors of the former PS senator Samia Ghali but eliminated with a vote after the first round, filed Tuesday complaint against "X", denouncing multiple incidents and fraud.

The atmosphere of the campaign is particularly tense in the second city of France, where several lists have reported irregularities and incidents in the first round. In mid-June the prosecution opened an investigation into suspected proxy fraud in the camp of candidate LR Martine Vassal.

9.99% of the votes

In his complaint, Alain Lothe, candidate in the 2nd and 3rd arrondissements, recalls that he obtained according to official figures 9.99% of the votes, after being credited with 10% in the evening, according to provisional results published by some media.

Results in the 2nd and 3rd

The candidate, who asked for a recount at the administrative court, bases his complaint on facts, some of which have already been denounced by other camps: an attempt to steal an urn by men with paintball guns , the presence of "touts" going to unearth the voters near the offices, or the affixing "of a loose white sheet on the minutes" written in the polling stations which "constitutes a passport for fraud" and which would explain "that a voice has vanished in nature". He also denounces "the use of temporary technical agents [from the arrondissement town hall] recruited to carry out the electoral campaign", while being assessors.
