A Palestinian youth was martyred by the Israeli occupation forces' bullets at the Container checkpoint, northeast of the city of Bethlehem, and the Israeli police claimed that the young man tried to carry out a stepping operation against the Israeli soldiers, which was denied by Palestinian sources.

Local sources reported that the martyr Ahmed Mustafa Erekat (27 years), from the town of Abu Dis, east of occupied Jerusalem, was killed Tuesday afternoon by the Israeli soldiers.

The occupation police said that a Palestinian was wounded after he tried to spray an Israeli female soldier and lightly wounded her, as the soldiers at the scene shot and seriously wounded his car, and subsequently died.

Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld added in a statement that the Palestinian drove quickly toward a policewoman at the border guards, who was lightly wounded.

On the other hand, Palestinian sources confirmed that what happened at the checkpoint was not a bidding attempt, but rather a collision with the edge of the island adjacent to the glass room in which the soldiers are located, which prompted the Israeli occupation forces to shoot at the car.

As a result, the Israeli occupation forces closed the roadblock and prevented medical personnel from reaching the rescue.
