June 22, 2020 The 2021 edition of the Golden Globes will take place on February 28, while the Globes are usually held in January to kick off the film awards season. The organizers announced it today. The ceremony was scheduled for January 5.The Globes will therefore take place during the weekend initially scheduled for the Oscars, which have been postponed and will be held on April 25th. The film industry and Hollywood have been knocked out by the coronavirus pandemic, which has emptied cinemas for about three months.
"To meet national and international film and television productions, HFPA will provide further advice on the eligibility, voting period and revised schedule of appointment announcements in the coming weeks," said the organizers.
