On Tuesday, June 23, the third stage of lifting the restrictive measures imposed due to the spread of COVID-19 will begin in Moscow. The mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, wrote about this in his blog. According to him, the indicators of the past week turned out to be "very positive" - the incidence continues to decline.

“After three months of rest, restaurants and cafes will be launched. Fitness clubs, swimming pools and fitness centers will open their doors. It will be possible to buy tickets and ride a river bus along the Moscow River. Restrictions on the operation of libraries and kindergartens are being lifted, ”Sobyanin said.

Restrictions on the use of elements of public infrastructure (swings, street exercise machines, benches) will also be lifted, normal operation will be restored in social welfare institutions. In addition, the work of travel agencies is permitted, despite the fact that the organization of excursions in Moscow is not yet possible.

The mayor noted that on the whole, the Russian capital has already returned to the usual rhythm of life, but many restrictions remain in effect (a ban on mass events, the need to maintain social distance and the mask regime).

“Believe me, I also want to remove all remaining restrictions as soon as possible. But one reckless step cannot be allowed to cross out the results of several months of hard struggle with the pandemic. We will continue to act in stages, based on an analysis of the real situation and a forecast for the development of the pandemic. Much depends on the behavior of the coronavirus, which scientists do not yet fully understand. But even more depends on us. Take care of yourself and your loved ones! This is the most reliable and shortest way to victory over the infection, ”Sobyanin stated.

It should be noted that on June 21, 968 new cases of coronavirus were detected in the capital, which became the lowest rate since April 9.

Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said that Russians would have to observe a mask regimen even in the fall to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19. She noted that the virus may be "not as active", but "does not go anywhere." In addition, the season begins colds, including flu and pneumonia.

“We live with him, and therefore we will have to somehow change our life and observe the security measures that are necessary in order not to break the very social contacts that we are traditionally used to, which make us wear masks, use sanitizers and everything what has now become everyday life in our lives, ”said Golikova on Channel One.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Health, Mikhail Murashko, expressed the opinion that the restrictions introduced due to the spread of COVID-19 can be completely removed no earlier than the beginning of 2021. In turn, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin also said that the mask regime in the Russian capital could continue until February 2021.

At the same time, Golikova noted that at the moment Russia has solved the problem with a lack of personal protective equipment. This was facilitated by the rapid restructuring of industrial facilities, as well as assistance from Chinese colleagues, the Deputy Prime Minister explained.

She also expressed the opinion that on a 20-point scale of Russia, you can put a rating “close to 20” for actions to combat coronavirus. According to her, even in the very early stages, a "very difficult decision" was made.

“I’ll explain why it’s complicated, about the sharp increase in testing, that is, the detection of cases of new coronavirus infection. Still, Russia took very early prohibitive measures and closed the border with China. We believed that the main threat would come from there, and, as you know, we hadn’t delivered for a long time, until February 29, not a single Russian citizen was diagnosed with a new coronavirus infection, ”Golikova explained.

On June 19, Vladimir Putin said that Russia was able to adequately respond to the threat of the epidemic thanks to the consolidated efforts of society, the healthcare system, and vital sectors of the economy.

“We are truly worthy - now we can already say this - they responded to the threat of the epidemic precisely thanks to the consolidated efforts of society, the healthcare system, and vital sectors of the national economy. I repeat, we were able to give such an answer, because to a decisive extent we could rely on our own technological and production base, on what is called their own rear, ”the president said.
