A shootout killed and injured 11 people in northern Minneapolis, the United States, police said Sunday. Images posted on Facebook showed at least one person on the ground and dozens of others around, some of whom were calling for help. Other images showed establishments with broken windows and police cars.

"Twelve people are injured by gunshots," the Minneapolis police wrote on Twitter. "One adult man is dead and eleven have life-threatening injuries," added the police.
