The National Police arrested a 25-year-old young man accused of cutting his 62-year-old father on the street of Gaztambide (Chamberí) in Madrid on Saturday night. After being arrested by the agents, he was transferred to the Clinical Hospital of Madrid for his psychiatric evaluation, according to police sources.
The events took place at 8 Gaztambide Street. Neighbors heard an argument in a home and notified the police. When officers arrived at the home, they found the father with several stab wounds to the neck. The son was lying in the hallway.
Summa doctors went to the home but could not save the life of the father who had several injuries to the neck from stabbing. The National Police assures that the origin of the crime was a family quarrel. At the scene, the agents recovered a knife that the parricide used to attack his father.
