In 2014, the authority launched the "Law" service for consultants and contractors, and reduced the time required for new connections for dealers in the commercial and industrial sectors to 5 days in just one step, while continuing to exempt from delivery fees and the insurance amount to 150 kilowatts.

This step came within the package of facilities provided by the authority for industrial and commercial projects. The time required to deliver electricity in the UAE, represented by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, is the lowest in the world according to the World Bank report that set 18 days to obtain the full mark in the time index within the axis of obtaining electricity.

The authority announced that the number of requests it received to deliver electricity through the law service amounted to 6124 requests since the launch of the service until the end of April 2020. It affirmed its keenness to meet all requests as usual in accordance with the highest standards of quality and speed, while applying all precautionary measures to ensure that requests are met without prejudice to the health and safety of those concerned To support national efforts to counter the spread of the emerging corona virus.

The authority called on all suppliers / contractors and sub-contractors to not allow any of their employees to enter or be present in the offices of the authority if their employees showed symptoms of influenza, high temperature, or respiratory symptoms, or if they travel recently. When delivering and supplying goods to the authority’s sites, the authority instructed drivers and their companions to wear personal protection supplies including (gloves and masks) and to follow all precautions, provided that the number of passengers on each bus does not exceed 20 people.
