The UAE welcomed the adoption of a draft resolution by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), submitted by France, Germany and Britain, calling on Iran to fully cooperate with the agency and meet its demands without delay, including providing immediate access to a number of Tehran's nuclear sites.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation appreciated the Agency's efforts in this regard, as the project represents an important and serious step to limit Tehran's nuclear technology development for non-peaceful purposes, and as it comes in full harmony with the demands of the UAE and the countries of the region.

The UAE commended the important role played by the International Atomic Energy Agency in the verification and monitoring of Iran's nuclear program, and for the professionalism and high transparency enjoyed by its inspectors, stressing the need to work to find a zone free of weapons of mass destruction in the Middle East.
