The councilor of the Popular Party of the Zaragoza town of Novallas and regional councilor, Eloy Valero , has presented his resignation this Friday after having insulted on social networks different members of the Podemos formation, including the vice president of the Government of Spain, Pablo Iglesias and the representative of Podemos in Congress, Pablo Echenique .

The PSOE in the region of Tarazona and Moncayo requested the resignation of Valero and was going to take a motion to the effect in full after the popular councilor described Echenique as "miserable rat", "tailless lizard" and "motorized cockroach" , while about Iglesias he wrote: "It is better to hit a stick and leave you a vegetable for life because hitting two shots is very fast".

As stated in statements to Europa Press the deputy regional spokesman for the PSOE and mayor of Torrellas, Pilar Pérez Lapuente , the resignation of the popular mayor "is late but welcome be."

Pérez Lapuente has considered that if the socialists had not asked for this issue "it would not have occurred" and stressed that "if it had not been for the media repercussion" that Novallas's words have had "it would have been difficult" for Valero to leave his post .

In addition, the deputy spokesman for the socialist district has ruined that the PP "not only did not consider" the removal of the councilor, but that the president of the party in Aragon, Luis María Beamonte , said that the fact that the mayor of Novallas apologized for these actions was "exemplary". "They make a very bad interpretation of their words," said Pérez Lapuente.

The PSOE in the region of Tarazona is now considering whether to bring a motion to the plenary session to urge the PP to make "a disapproval of all the words" of the councilor or "not to make more wood from the fallen tree."

The plenary, which was to take place last Thursday, will be held on June 25, when a space with sufficient capacity to carry it out is achieved.
