The Ertzaintza has charged against groups of protesters summoned by 'anti-fascist' groups that have thrown glasses, bottles and chairs at them after a Vox act in Bilbao. Around a hundred agents of the Mobile Brigade have participated in the security device of the act carried out by Javier Ortega Smith in the San Francisco neighborhood. But when Smith and his followers left the Corazón de María square, there were clashes. During the incidents, a 22-year-old boy was detained as the alleged perpetrator of an attack on the authority. Several officers have resulted in minor injuries .

Ortega Smith and the candidate of Vox for Bizkaia to the Basque Parliament Nico Gutiérrez have held the rally despite an intense pan of residents of the neighborhood and the presence of groups called by anti-fascist groups critical of the presence of Vox in Bilbao. An event held tonight in the San Francisco neighborhood, one of the most conflictive in the town and with a high percentage of the immigrant population. The choice of scenario is not accidental, taking into account that many of their messages are directed directly against aid to the foreign population and against the lack of citizen security and, according to them, the permissiveness of crime.

The rally began at 8:00 p.m. and was considered high risk by the Security department, which has deployed a comprehensive police operation and has heated up on social media.

In fact, Sare Antifaxista , considers the act called by Abascal's party, in which Ortega Smith will participate along with the head of the list for Bizkaia, Nico Gutiérrez, as a fascist provocation , and is called to hold counter-demonstrations, on the other hand, habitual already in each one of the acts of this party in Euskadi.

The last Vox rallies, held in the electoral campaign of the general elections, resulted in important incidents and confrontations between the counter-protesters and the Ertzaintza.

The Councilor for Citizen Security of the Bilbao City Council, Amaia Arregi, acknowledged in an interview on Radio Euskadi that there is a special device for this meeting because it is considered "very high risk".

Santiago Abascal, who presented yesterday in Vitoria the candidacies for the Basque Country, denounced in reference to social aid and the minimum income approved by the central government, which with the support of EH Bildu for these benefits, the coalition wants to replace the 200,000 Basques "expelled" from the Basque Country by ETA, for "200,000 Islamists".

The Vox leader also regretted that the rallies organized by his party in Euskadi in the last elections took place "in the midst of violence and intimidation."

Javier Ortega Smith will repeat tomorrow in Vitoria with Amaia Martínez, candidate for Álava, and on Sunday in San Sebastián with the candidate for Gipuzkoa, María Pérez.
