He spoke about this during a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with representatives of various sectors of the economy who were faced with the consequences of the coronavirus epidemic.

“Logistics of the flow and the number of personnel involved also required new approaches, because the pulsating regime of admission in different regions did present new requirements,” Murashko said.

According to him, specialists who help to work out a unified system of medical care continue to work in ten Russian regions.

“Over the country in a very short period of time, more than 1.4 million specialists had to be retrained,” the Russian Minister of Health added.

He specified that both written and video instructions were used for this, as well as at the outpatient stage, technologies developed jointly with Rosstat.

“They made it possible to use already at the stage of inpatient care ... to optimize a number of processes, relieve the medical staff of non-core functions, thereby actually providing more attention to patients," the minister emphasized.

Murashko said earlier that during the pandemic, more than half a million patients passed through the Russian hospital network.
