It's a mini-fact that has been talking about for a few months: the depigmentation of Edouard Philippe's beard. For some time now, in fact, the Prime Minister's beard, barely graying on his arrival in Matignon, now bears a growing white spot on the left side of his face. This week, in an interview with Paris Match , which he made the headline, Edouard Philippe speaks for the first time on the subject.

Unsurprisingly, it confirms that it is indeed a vitiligo. "It is a minor illness, neither painful nor contagious," said the Matignon tenant straight away. Paris Match specifies that this disease is not entirely harmless since it can be linked to stress or fatigue. This disease can affect both hairs and the skin. According to Le Parisien , which quotes Inserm figures, vitiligo affects 0.5 to 1% of the world population.

Between the campaign for the second round of municipal elections in Le Havre and the coming economic crisis, there should a priori still be some sources of fatigue and stress for Edouard Philippe.
