Three bears may be dropped this fall

In 2019, two bears had to be dropped during the Warmlands license hunt, a hunt that was over in record time. Only four hours after the hunt began, the quota was full.

How it will be during the year's hunt that starts on August 21 remains to be seen. It is clear, however, that at most one bear can be felled and that the hunt is canceled if a female is dropped.

However, a decision on possible wolf hunting is delayed. The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency has left the county administrative boards in the middle predator management area to make decisions. The County Administrative Board in Värmland is working to investigate the conditions for license hunting for wolves this winter. Message arrives by October 1st.
