Grazia magazine will no longer appear in newsstands, this is information from our colleagues in Strategies. The inter-union of NextRadioTV has unveiled the outlines of the famous "recovery plan" of the Altice group which announces a wave of departures. Employees of Parisien have spoken out against the new editorial project which aims to put an end to editions dedicated to each department for a single notebook of 12 pages. 255 L'Équipe employees signed a letter in which they wrote refusing management to affect their salaries and their RTT days. 255 L'Équipe employees signed a letter in which they wrote refusing management to affect their salaries and their RTT days. Édouard Philippe received ten leaders from the private and public audiovisual sectors to tell them that the great law which the Minister of Culture was to bring would ultimately be cut short.

This media journal begins with the end of a magazine.

We begin a sad news that we have unfortunately seen coming for a few weeks. Grazia magazine will no longer appear in newsstands, this is information from our colleagues in Strategies. The new owner of the weekly, Reworld Media, has decided to open a PSE. It is a job protection plan for the last 16 employees of the magazine. The number 529 published in late March was therefore the last of Grazia's French version, 11 years after its launch in France. The Italian-born weekly will no longer be available in print, but the brand will continue to exist in digital. According to Strategies, five podcasts should be released during the summer and a quarterly mook will be released in October. A mook is a kind of mixture between a magazine, a magazine and a book. This Grazia mook will be produced externally and therefore no longer by a dedicated editorial staff.

More information about Altice's restructuring plan.

The inter-union of NextRadioTV has revealed the outlines of the famous "recovery plan" of the Altice group. "Reconquest plan" is the term used by Alain Weill, the boss of the group to announce this wave of departures. And it will be very expensive on the social side. According to the intersyndical, the voluntary departure plan will affect between 330 and 380 CDI out of the 1,600 employees that make up the group. 200 freelance and intermittent workers should also pay for this restructuring. In total, this represents close to one in three employees threatened by this plan. Employee representatives are now calling for a general meeting on June 23 to decide what actions to take to protest against the decisions of Altice management.

Stéphane Albouy, the editorial director of Le Parisien, came to Culture Medias to present the newspaper's new editorial project. A new project which is far from being unanimous among the employees.

We can even speak of a rejection. This Wednesday, the employees gathered in General Assembly voted on the plans of their management: 255 voted against, 79 in favor and 35 abstained. What the employees criticize is the transformation of the regional pages. Completed editions dedicated to each department, place in a single notebook of 12 pages where will be grouped all the reports of local teams and which will be the same whether you live in Paris, in Seine and Marne or in Oise. The Parisian teams therefore request that there be no abolition of posts and jobs (around thirty are planned) and they request the restoration of a space dedicated to each department, on the print editions and the website of Parisian. In this context of tensions and confrontations, should we fear a strike by employees? The coming week will therefore be decisive as to whether an agreement can be reached or whether the publication of the newspaper is likely to be threatened.

At L'Équipe too, the crisis is brewing.

10 days ago, the management of the sports daily announced in turn a transformation plan with shock measures for employees. Increase working time by eliminating RTT and reducing wages by 10%. In exchange, the management of L'Équipe undertook not to lay off workers until 2024. The newspaper forecasts an operating loss close to 16 million euros this year when it had gained not far from five million last year. This Wednesday, 255 employees of L'Équipe signed a letter in which they wrote refusing that management affects their wages and their RTT days. They also say that they will not participate in the information meetings planned for the next few days. The signatories recall that they have made a lot of effort over the years that they have suffered a permanent deterioration in their working conditions and that, at the same time, social plans have succeeded one another. These 255 employees say they trust their elected representatives to represent them in future negotiations.

A little new on the side of "C in the air".

The holidays are approaching for everyone but all the shows don't stop. This is the case of "C in the air" on France 5. The late afternoon program has therefore found a new joker; it is Bruno Duvic, the journalist who presents the mid-day information section of France Inter. Bruno Duvic will first replace Axel de Tarlé on Friday 3 and Saturday 4 July then he will return to the antenna from 3 to 15 August. This time to take care of the week and weekend shows.

News from the audiovisual reform law.

What promises is a cut sale. This Wednesday, Édouard Philippe received ten leaders from the private and public audiovisual sector to tell them that the great law which the Minister of Culture was to carry would be finally hacked. Concretely, the Prime Minister announced the creation of a tax credit on investments in programs and creation. In July, the government will issue a decree to relax the rules for television advertising and remove the famous banned days. These are the days like Wednesday or Saturday evening when the channels are not allowed to broadcast cinema films. And again in July, the government will bring into French law a European directive which will oblige platforms like Netflix and Disney + to participate in the financing of creation.

But much of the text is still missing.

Effectively! We have spoken to you quite a bit about the creation of a holding grouping together the public audiovisual sector, this subject clearly has its lead in the wing. If the Prime Minister says that the other provisions of the text will be examined in another text in September, only the most urgent elements will appear there. What is urgent? We will know this summer after an arbitration at the highest summit in the state.

Since we are talking about public broadcasting, we still do not know what will happen to France 4 and France Ô. The two chains are to be closed on August 9, but the closure is suspended until arbitration by the state's highest summit.

In the United States, the Black Lives Matter movement mobilizes all sections of American society.

We have heard a lot of stars since the death of George Floyd on May 25, strangled by the knees of a police officer. Athletes, Hollywood stars, former presidents, everyone is participating in the movement to denounce systemic racism by the police in particular. We also heard a lot about Silicon Valley companies supporting the movement. This Wednesday, we learned that the boss of Netflix and his wife decided to give $ 120 million over the next 10 years to help finance the education of black students. For Spellman College alone, this will allow 200 students to do their first year for free. This gift from the Hastings couple is the largest personal donation ever made to support black colleges and universities in the United States.
