The government has decided to allocate SEK 30 million to the municipalities, the Ministry of Social Affairs writes in a press release. This is because of the consequences that the isolation of people over 70 can have. The money can, for example, be used to create sheltered visiting rooms for the elderly or technical equipment for relatives to keep in touch if they cannot be met properly.

The region of Sörmland receives a total of SEK 931,643, which is distributed among the municipalities.
