As for the suspicion of the influence of the Russian authorities, which was confirmed by the Attorney General, we already reacted at the beginning of the investigation into the murder in Tiergarten and, due to insufficient cooperation of the Russian authorities in this regard, expelled employees of the Russian embassies, ”he added.
In May, the German Foreign Ministry invited the ambassador of Russia, where, as stated in Berlin, he was denounced because of a “hacker attack on the Bundestag."
At the end of 2019, Germany announced the expulsion of two employees of the Russian embassy, explaining this by responding to the fact that the Russian authorities "did not cooperate sufficiently in the investigation of the murder in Berlin Tiergarten."
In response, the Kremlin emphasized that assumptions about Russia's involvement in the murder in Germany are completely unfounded.
