Become aware of your emotions at work

Why is returning to work not easy? First of all because social relations are above all a matter of emotions. "This period was an emotional upheaval for many people," says Robert Zuili, psychologist, at the microphone of Europe 1. Fear, worries, frustrations ... "At the heart of it all, our emotions play a key role in how we build the link to each other. " While the French are gradually returning to the office after three months of telework or partial unemployment, Robert Zuili has set up a platform, TheLiiife, to measure the impact that the Covid-19 crisis had on their emotions. And their relationships, especially in the professional sphere.

The objective of this "relational matching" platform is to be able to objectify and measure how our emotions impact the relationship we build with the other, "he explains, referring to five dimensions: feeling, values, complicity, complementarity, and the risk of conflict. Using artificial intelligence and a questionnaire, filled in by a person and then one of his colleagues, for example, the platform calculates a corresponding percentage to the state of their emotions, and gives keys to better rebuild their relationship. "All of this allows us to measure the distance and the efforts that we will have to make to preserve our relationship with others, whether at work or at home. "

Do not leave managers "destitute"

If one immediately thinks of the relationship between colleagues, that between managers and their employees is also the subject of concern. It is on this point that the company MoovOne focuses, which offers, since 2015, coaching sessions for SME owners. In this post-crisis phase, 1,000 sessions are offered to them free of charge to better understand the return to work. "We don't always think of those who supervise the teams," explains Hugo Manoukian, co-founder of MoovOne. "Yet they too may be in the grip of doubt."

Today, the start-up works with more than 200 large groups, and supports 10,000 managers, continues Hugo Manoukian. "Managers destitute because they are between two fields which confront each other: a need for performance in a complicated economic situation, and a need to give human meaning, to engage their teams and to work together" , he explains, adding that "according to a study, 58% of employees do not want to return to work as before".

" If the company has been in existence for five years, Hugo Manoukian has noted a peak in attendance since the start of deconfinement. "We worked on content with a very high audience", develops the co-founder of the company. "We have released podcasts, tools that allow everyone to improve their stress management, their team management, but also to share their emotions."

Psychological monitoring which, in general, can help to start on a healthy basis, while a report published by the Medicines Agency reveals that the consumption of sleeping pills and tranquilizers has increased by more than 7% since the start of the health crisis.
