UN Human Rights Council holds emergency debate on US human rights issue for the first time

  This is the fifth time in the history of the UN Human Rights Council that an emergency debate has been held during the meeting. It is also the first time in the history of the UN Human Rights Council that an emergency meeting has been held on human rights issues in the United States.
