Atlético Madrid, who had missed their return to La Liga after three months off Sunday in Bilbao (1-1), strangled Osasuna 5-0 on Wednesday evening for the 29th day of Liga, and relaunched for the race for European places.
The Madrilenians won thanks to a double from their young Portuguese nugget of 20 years Joao Felix (27th, 56th), back in the group after a sprained knee and a suspension, then goals by Marcos Llorente (79th), Alvaro Morata (81st), and Yannick Carrasco (88th). They temporarily replace themselves in 4th place in the classification, two points behind the third, Sevilla FC, which receives Barça on Friday.
