The Russian authorities have set up a "sterilization tunnel" at the headquarters of President Vladimir Putin, through which visitors who are allowed to meet the president pass through, and they are sprayed with antiseptics to prevent the transmission of "Covid-19" infection to him.

Putin has been working since the outbreak of the new Corona virus began from his residence in Novo Ugarovo, near Moscow.

To protect the health of the president, his visitors must pass through a room that sprays them from all sides with sterile materials. The authorities of the Penza region, where the room was made, explained that it "guarantees the safety of the head of state and all those who visit him."

The chamber manufacturer specializes in automatic cleaning machines for the industrial sector. The room installed at Putin's headquarters can measure the visitor's temperature, and is equipped with facial recognition technology, according to the manufacturer.

The Kremlin affirms that Putin and those who communicate with him are regularly tested for infection, and visitors must also have an examination before meeting him. Despite these measures, many senior Russian officials have been infected with the emerging Corona virus, including Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Prime Minister Mikhail Michaustin, and a number of ministers and representatives.

In March, Putin shook hands with the chief physician of a major hospital treating people with the virus, and communicated with him without mask. Doctor Denis Brutsenko later announced that he had "Covid-19".

Despite the preventive measures, many senior Russian officials have been infected with the emerging coronavirus, including Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, Prime Minister Mikhail Michaustin, and a number of ministers and representatives.
