“The activities of ... the extremist organization Tablighi Jamaat were suppressed. In the Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, Saratov and Ulyanovsk regions ... leaders and active members of this organization were detained, ”the press service said.

Illegal literature, communications and bank cards were seized in the homes of detainees and in places of conspiracy gatherings.

A criminal case has been opened.

In February, three leaders and four active members of Tabligi Jamaat were detained in Moscow and the Moscow Region.
