The police have followed up prostitution ads online and then searched two different apartments in central Uppsala.

Last weekend, four men between the ages of 25 and 40 could be reported as suspicious of sex purchases. After scouting this weekend, a man in his 50s was suspected of the same thing.

On both occasions, the same two women from a poor country in Eastern Europe will be selling six in the apartments, which should be rented through a rental site.

Saw no other resort

- These two women came from some form of poorer part of their homeland. They have told police that they worked in the service industry in their home country but became unemployed due to the coronation's progress. Then they saw no other way to provide for themselves and their families, says Jonas Eronen.

They applied abroad and then Sweden was the only open country for them, they have said. They have been very wordy about the information about pimples and how they found the apartments they were staying in.

"Securely organized crime behind"

How have the girls ended up in Uppsala?

- Organized crime is, by all means, behind. But in this case, we have not been able to drill further and see if human trafficking is behind.

- This girl is used repeatedly. By extension, it will be a kind of slave trade, says Jonas Eronen.

The women are now offered support.

- This was a point effort in Uppsala that gave results at once. It is clear that the ambition is to make more efforts during the summer.

It is high time that we within the police and other authorities take a greater grip on this, says Jonas Eronen, press release
