When the ten-day trial ended on Tuesday, Prosecutor Jim Westerberg demanded that his ex-boyfriend be sentenced to life in prison for murder.

 - It is the ex-boyfriend who is the perpetrator. It's unreasonable that it could be about someone else, Jim Westerberg said in his final plea.

The man's lawyer Beatrice Rämsell was of the opposite opinion and wanted him to be released.

"The investigation is not so robust that it can form the basis for a convict," his lawyer Beatrice Rämsell told SVT News West after the hearing.

The fact that the defendant is being held in custody after the conclusion of the hearing is usually regarded as a sign that the court is leaning against a convict.
