SVT News Småland has previously reported that a man was charged with attacking two police officers with a sword.

The incident happened in November 2017 when two police officers were to assist a doctor in a case at the home of the 45-year-old man. When police found the man in his home, he attacked them with a sword. The man both hit them and, according to one of the police, must have also tried to throw the sword.

The 45-year-old was charged with violent resistance and attempted murder. The man denied the act and claimed that he was in an emergency.

Judgment of the District Court

The man is now being tried for murder. The district court believes that the 45-year-old man's behavior posed no danger to police lives. The 45-year-old, on the other hand, is convicted of violent resistance after a wrestling match occurred when police tried to remove the sword from the man.

The man is sentenced to pay SEK 2,400 in daily fines.
