The Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai revealed the opening of four new private schools in the academic year (2020-2021) with a total capacity of about 4100 school seats, and it covers the curriculum: American, British and Indian, with one of those schools actually starting work last April.

The new schools are distributed in different regions at the emirate level, namely: Abu Hail, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Jebel Ali and Al Rashidiya.

The Executive Director of the Authority's Permits and Compliance Sector, Mohamed Ahmed Darwish, said that «the opening of the four new schools for the academic year 2020-2021 contributes to highlighting the prestigious international position of Dubai, which is trusted by education services providers, as the preferred destination for designing and developing innovative models of education, and within a system Flexible for private education and able to keep pace with and anticipate educational opportunities and options to meet the aspirations of educational services providers in order to provide high quality education on the one hand, and enhances the availability of various educational options for different families and families in Dubai on the other hand.

The private school sector in Dubai is witnessing continuous growth rates year after year, which reflects the flexibility enjoyed by the sector, as Dubai private schools today embrace approximately 300,000 students with a variety of high-quality educational options that meet the future strategic goals of Dubai.

Dubai Knowledge and Human Development Authority data for the current academic year indicate that the number of students enrolled in Dubai's private schools, numbering 209 private schools, grew by 2.1%.

It is noteworthy that Dubai attracted 30 new private schools during the past three years, which added 24 thousand school seats to the total capacity in the private schools in the emirate.
