Introducing a sign language interpreter to the Internet of the House of Councilors policy statement etc. June 16 19:05

For the deaf and hard of hearing, the House of Councilors decided to introduce a sign language interpreter from next year when relaying the Prime Minister's speech on the policy of administration, etc. on the Internet.

On the 16th, the House of Councilors, which is making the barrier-free, decided on the improvement measures to make the deaf people aware of the content of the deliberation by having the members of the House of Council members meet.

As a result, from next year, when relaying the House of Councilors plenary session where the prime minister's administration policy speech, belief statement speech, and representative questions of each party will be relayed on the Internet, a sign language interpreter will be translated in a separate room and delivered together .

In addition, we will install equipment in two committee rooms in order to introduce a sign language interpreter if necessary when relaying deliberation by the budget committee etc. on the Internet. In addition, we are planning to increase the number of sign language interpreters who can help guide people who are deaf to the Diet.
