Borussia Mönchengladbach, without his two French stars Pléa and Thuram, returned to the Champions League race by dominating Wolfsburg at home 3-0 on Tuesday for the 32nd day of the Bundesliga.

The "Foals" temporarily resume with 59 points the fourth place, qualifying for the European queen competition. Their rival Leverkusen (57 pts), will have the opportunity to go back to Wednesday evening receiving Cologne.

Then there will only be two days left to seal the positions. The two will meet teams from the second half of the table.

Jonas Hofmann scored twice for Mönchengladbach. After a transition played quickly, he was served in finesse between two defenders by the Swiss international Breel Embolo and cheated the goalkeeper with a placed shot (1-0, 10th).

He then victoriously took a ball from international central defender Matthias Ginter (2-0, 30th) in the middle of the field.

Lars Stindl hit the nail after the break, also a resumption in the race after a pass from Guinea Ibrahima Traoré (3-0, 63rd).

Marcus Thuram, injured in an ankle, was in the empty stands of Borussia Park, like his friend Alassane Pléa, victim of a muscular problem in training this week. The two men are the top scorers of their team, with ten achievements each in the league.

Borussia occupied the head of the Bundesliga for two months at the start of the season between October and December.
