Thirty-two deputies of all political stripes will compose this commission of inquiry chaired by LREM deputy, Brigitte Bourguignon. The structure will be mediated by its rapporteur, Eric Ciotti, elected from the Republicans.
And it will therefore try to establish possible flaws concerning the management of mask stocks , the testing strategy or even the care of residents in nursing homes , hard hit by the pandemic.

The aim will also be to establish the chronology of the crisis as precisely as possible. To do this, the commission has broad investigative powers. Those summoned are therefore obliged to appear under pain of criminal sanctions. Jérôme Salomon opens the auditions ball this Tuesday, June 16.

Thursday, June 18, it will be up to Jean-François Delfraissy, president of the scientific council to be heard by the deputies. As for politicians, they will be heard after June 28, the date of the second round of municipal elections. The former Minister of Health, Agnès Buzyn, is expected on the 30th, followed by some of her predecessors. The procedure should last a maximum of six months.
