A number of residents of the Red and Upper Egypt cities in Egypt felt a tremor today, and the National Seismological Network recorded an earthquake, 86 km east of Hurghada, inside the Red Sea.

The head of the National Institute for Astronomical Research in Egypt, Dr. Jad Al-Qadi, said that the tremor had a magnitude of 5.2 on the Richter scale, at latitude 27.2087 ° N and longitude 34.7044 ° E and with a depth of 10 km, and that the responsible authorities had not received any report of any losses or Injuries.

A number of residents of separate areas in Hurghada confirmed the occurrence of an earthquake, as the residents of the upper floors felt it, and the earthquake continued for several seconds.

According to Egyptian news sites, the earthquake was so powerful that it stretched for seconds, to the point that the inhabitants of those cities were dismayed and feared that it would have consequences.
