The scam was fine. At the start of the year, several partygoers from Toulouse regretted their evening, which was a little too wet. Approached by VTC drivers in the street offering them to take them home for 5 to 10 euros, they found a few days later that the amount debited from their bank account was much larger, up to several hundred euros.

What to put the chip in the ear of the investigators of the brigade of repression of the delinquency of the departmental security because this scam had made several victims.

Each time, the VTC demanded payments by bank card and, "taking advantage of the inattention of the victims, they discreetly collected much larger amounts", explains the national police who ended up identifying three drivers ... And their 130 victims, defrauded between November 2019 and March 2020.

Three men referred

On Tuesday, the three drivers were arrested and taken into police custody, during which they denied the facts. But during the searches, several thousand euros in cash were seized as well as a vehicle. The Toulouse prosecutor's office ordered the removal of the three men for the purpose of opening information. They were placed under judicial supervision.
