“On June 15, 2020, the duty forces for air defense of the Western Military District timely revealed the actions of strategic bombers of the US Air Force B-52H and reconnaissance aircraft of foreign states over the neutral waters of the Baltic Sea and escorted them by Russian fighters,” the Defense Ministry reported to RIA Novosti.
It is noted that foreign aircraft were continuously accompanied by Russian radar controls. To intercept targets in the air, Su-27 fighter aircraft of the Baltic Fleet were raised.
On June 3, the British Air Force announced the interception of a Russian Il-20 aircraft over the Baltic Sea.
