- Groundwater levels are expected to be at their lowest in early autumn, and since the levels are already below normal for the season, the County Administrative Board therefore calls for thrift for those with their own well as well, says Frida Eklund, water manager at the county administrative board.

Since April 1, Region Gotland has introduced a ban on irrigation for subscribers in Visby, Väskinde, Västerhejde, Tofta, Eskelhem, Sanda and Västergarn. The ban applies to all subscribers connected to the municipal water supply network.

For those with their own well, the county administrative board can not impose any form of prohibition, but instead urges to be frugal with the water.
