A guard working in one of the trade fairs in Sharjah managed to put out a fire in the exhibition without registering or any injuries, after a fire alarm was received for the operations room of the Sand company from the safety device for early warning in it, as the operations officer after receiving the fire alarm at 4 o'clock : 17 a.m. on June 4, alerting the guard, who immediately rushed to check for the fire and put it out.

The Sand Operations Room at the same time from the arrival of the fire notification confirmed the fire report to the Operations Room of the General Administration of Civil Defense and informed them of the accident and the location in detail with the phone number of the guard, and during the civil defense firefighting teams' visit to the site, they were informed that the fire had been controlled by the guard at the exhibition, This is due to the speedy receiving of the report and the monitoring by a safety system operations officer and informing the guard therein.

Sheikh Khalid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Prevention and Safety Authority, confirmed that it coincided with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, to enhance population security and protect lives and property, the authority launched a safety initiative in August 2019 to monitor fire alarms in buildings Throughout the Emirate of Sharjah, verifying and reporting it immediately to take the necessary measures to enhance the quality of life of citizens and residents in the emirate.

Sheikh Saif bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Director of the Prevention and Safety Authority, pointed out that the importance of the safety system lies in protecting lives and property, as the project is implemented by the authority and managed by "Sand" company, as it is an innovative system for fire detection working around the clock to allow the "General Administration of Civil Defense in Sharjah" "The possibility of monitoring fire alarms in the buildings scattered throughout Sharjah, checking them and reporting them immediately to take the necessary measures, which is what actually happened in the incident of Al-Mashgouni exhibition, as if it had not been for the quick alert the guard received from the operations officer for a safety system, the fire would have exacerbated the fire."

He called on all building owners to install a "safety" system, to early detection of fires and reduce their damages in order to achieve the highest safety rates leading to protection from hazards.
