On June 15, 2000, President Kim Dae-jung and North Korean leader Kim Jong-il held a summit meeting to jointly resolve the unification issue between North and South Korea. Together with others, the 20th anniversary of the June 15th Joint Declaration will be held at the Unification Observatory in Odusan, Paju, Gyeonggi-do.

Originally, it was planned to hold a ceremony for citizens to attend at the Seoul Plaza, but as the situation in Corona 19 worsened, the event was reduced and the venue was changed.

In addition, with the recent spread of North Korean flyers, North Korea's first deputy head of the North Korean Workers' Party, including Kim Yeo-jung, has raised the level of accusation against North Korea, as well as the blasting of inter-Korean joint offices and military action.

In this situation, it is highly likely that President Moon Jae-in's message to North Korea will emerge after the 20th anniversary of the June 15 Joint Declaration.

It was predicted that an unprecedented proposal, such as dispatching an envoy to resume dialogue, was predicted, but North Korea may immediately reject it and try to maximize the repulsion effect, so it is predicted that it will be a principle that emphasizes dialogue.
