On the air of Echo of Moscow, Latynina said that in April she received from the leader of the Alliance of Doctors organization Anastasia Vasilyeva a fragment of a letter from an alleged doctor from Nizhnekamsk Zainab Mukhamedshina and read it out. The message stated: “According to official statistics, in our city there are only three cases of coronavirus infection, but this is official. In fact, it is difficult to find a patient without bilateral pneumonia in all hospitals in our city. ”

“And it was all a fake. There is no such Zainab Mukhamedshina, there is no such hospital, and, apparently, this is not a woman at all, but a man who tried to divorce Anastasia Vasilyeva for some kind of confession, ”RIA Novosti quoted the journalist as saying.

Latynina noted that she had received a “scary piece of paper” stating that a preliminary investigation was being carried out against her regarding the distribution of fakes about the coronavirus.

“I really, without any fools, apologize to Tatarstan for buying a letter from a malicious fraudster. Actually, if the Ministry of Health of Tatarstan called me instead of publishing various various articles of the same type after that the evil Latynina slandered Tatarstan, I would have gladly apologized earlier, ”she said.

Earlier, a law enforcement source told RT that the Investigative Committee had organized an audit due to the words of Yulia Latynina about the coronavirus on the air of Ekho Moskvy radio station and the journalist’s suspicion of spreading false information.

As specified, Latynina read on April 11 a "letter of appeal from Nizhnekamsk doctors" on the air of her program, while it was established that no cases of COVID-19 were registered in Nizhnekamsk and the Nizhnekamsk municipal region as of April 10 and 11.
