The reason why Svenska Kulturpärlor wants to rebuild the castle is because the company was hit hard by the prevailing corona pandemic, among other things, the majority of its employees have been terminated.
The company initially wants to continue to operate the castle as a hotel and conference facility, after a couple of years, to rebuild it into about 50 apartments. The plan is to build the apartments in the castle itself and in its rear and front wings.
- It is an incredibly cool plan that would offer a fantastic living environment. But our main reason for looking at this is that we want to secure our operations in the long term and have the opportunity to re-employ employees in our companies, says Fredrik Åström, CEO of Svenska Kulturpärlor.
