Abu Dhabi Police warned drivers not to leave 5 dangerous materials that could be flammable and explosive in the vehicle in the summer, namely the compact perfume bottle, hand sanitizer sprays, the gas bottle, the portable charger, the phone battery and the cigarette lighter, and called for the necessity of the vehicles to be free of these materials for their safety.
She indicated that the presence of these dangerous materials inside the vehicle, especially during the day and exposed to heat and sunlight, if not directly on them, may lead to a disaster.
She was warned of the dangers of leaving the cigarette lighter inside the car, which may explode with heat due to the presence of iron parts in its components, which causes friction that causes a fire.
She stated that the car driver is not aware of the danger of leaving the small gas canisters in the vehicle, as their friction with each other as the car moves and the intensity of heat causes it to explode.
She pointed out that it is possible that the excess heat in the weather may destroy the internal cells of the phone battery, as this causes an internal short circuit that leads to fires.
