Forty former and current soccer stars participated in the FIFA's anti-racism campaign.

The soccer stars wore black shirts while participating in the campaign aimed at sending a message titled "Stop racism ... stop violence ... stop discrimination."

FIFA's campaign attracted more than 44 million fans worldwide.

"It is convenient to see, day after day, an increasing number of FIFA legends, and current players and players from different races and religions, who use their platforms to transmit FIFA messages to their followers across the world," said Fatima Samoura, FIFA Secretary-General.

"It is time to highlight the treatment of the black skin society, the racism and violence that many of them suffer in their daily lives," she added.

"To all these players: I am proud of your dedication and commitment for the right, and I encourage other players and players to join this important message in the coming days," concluded Samura.

Among the most prominent participants in the initiative, Spain's Pep Guardiola, Manchester City coach, and Brazilian retired duo Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos.
