Television long-runner Robinson is to be recorded in the Haparanda archipelago, according to TV4. It is the corona pandemic that has led the company to move the recording home to Sweden this summer.

- Given the prevailing situation in the world, we have had to think new. The fact that we now place Robinson in Sweden's northernmost archipelago feels just right and that will give the participants completely new challenges. It will be a unique experience to see Robinson at home for the first time , says Gustav Carlsson, executive producer at TV4.

Challenging nature

On its website, TV4 writes that "Coconuts, palms and heat have been replaced with cones, firs and archipelago breeze."

- We will offer tough challenges in the Norrbotten archipelago, with barren archipelago islands, unique nature and dark seas. Surviving and competing in the demanding Nordic wilderness is very stressful. I really look forward to a unique and exciting season with many surprises, competition moments, friendships and the social game, ”says Anders Öfvergård, program manager for Robinson.
